The association Web Excellence Forum was founded in the end of 2005 as a sponsor for WebXF. Communication and online decision-makers from Dax 30 companies and other internationally operating  corporations have joined in the Web Excellence Forum to mutually establish standards for digital corporate communication. The Association headquarters is located in Berlin. It is open to members from German and English-speaking countries of the European Union and Switzerland.

Targets and tasks of the Association:

• develop standards for the evaluation of quality, performance and actual monetary value of corporate websites and intranets
• publicise the standardised methods and instruments to the expert community
• allow interested companies to share the standards
• advance the establishment of the developed standards with the perspective of their certification
• promote exchange of experience between experts and managers of digital corporate communication
• develop and maintain relationships to selected national and international scientists, institutes and entities
